Excelentes noticias. resposta do Colin: «we still have an oldschool sound to some of our tracks but we are much more eclectic now, and write many styles both of psytrance and of other dancefloor genres... the common thing i guess is the psychedelia. but.. when many people think of oldschool psytrance though, they don't think further back than 2000 » Only who has seen OOOD lately playing live, from Brazil to UK, knows what Colin is talking about.. eh eh eh ... Sunrise Festival was for me, even after listening to other OOOD gigs, a handfull of surprises and a brilliant performance and dance floor.. which makes me even more anxious for Sunday @ Boom!! see you all there! :)
  2. OOOD performance @ Boom little teaser.... Here's a short clip, from the first half of the film. The music is OOOD: 'Little Big Life' - and if you're thinking "but where's the ...psytrance?"... hehe don't worry http://vimeo.com/13517702 Passion Fruit 'spreading the sound with passion' passionfruitmusic@gmail.com
  3. Proudly bringing OOOD for the first time to Portugal.. Special performance: OOOD UK at BOOM from Boom Website: « LIVE SOUNDTRACKS ...For the first time ever in the history of psy-trance, cinema and a live concert is performed together. We all know the cinematic potential of psychedelic trance. We all know that we need to add more concepts to the style we love in order to keep the evolution going. So, we invited a live act, we gave it a movie and the output is presented live at the Boom dance floor in one monumental session at the beginning of the night. Do not miss it! ........OOOD & Anita Shukla........ We are screening an activist animation movie done by one independent director. 4. A leitura é sempre subjectiva..

    BOOM 2010

This is more interesting COLIN, OOOD UK says: Hey All four of us in OOOD are very excited to be playing live at Boom, as our first performance in Portugal! We can't believe our luck... thanks to Ana @ Passion Fruit and the Boom team for making it possible. This will be the first time we've put our music to visuals, and Anita's short film has been great to work with. We've got a lot of work to do yet but it's looking good so far! With any luck we'll have a VJ for the second half of our set, and we've also been making a special remix of one of our tracks just for the soundtrack, so I hope you will come to the Dance Temple and help us kick Sunday evening off in style. Here's a short clip, from the first half of the film. The music is OOOD: 'Little Big Life' - and if you're thinking "but where's the psytrance?"... hehe don't worry http://vimeo.com/13517702 end of quote

  11. OOOD LATEST NEWS: The latest news is that the band have been playing regularly in the UK and have been working hard on new material, inspired by Ryokan's return from 2 years in Japan and Steve's recent 6 months in India. All four of them now live in the same city and they seem determined to push their boundaries ever further with their next album; their recent dancefloor tracks span the bpm range from 110 to 150 and include some of their best psytrance work to date and the stunning electro/psy/techno track 'Frogology', title track of on the VA of the same name from Frogadelic Records (the label of the Tribe of Frog organisation in the UK). Also coming out soon is the track 'Little Big Life', to be released on the debut VA from Broken Records, and a digital EP on Broken Robot Records. Colin has been mastering albums for labels such as Zenon and Devils Mind, as well as Tim Healey's latest album "Unstoppable" (Farm Records, 2009) and individual tracks by artists such as Hujaboy, Aerospace, NASA and Filteria, amongst many others. At present he is in-house mastering engineer for four labels (Phar Psyde, Devils Mind, Cronomi, Sun Station) and several independantly-releasing artists; his mastering is also rapidly developing a reputation outside the trance scene. Ryo, Steve and Rama have been ripping up dancefloors all over with DJ sets in a wide range of styles and were openers at many UK festivals last summer, as well as playing peak-time sets at Tribe of Frog, Broken and other UK parties. Recent and upcoming gigs After a small warm-up gig in Glastonbury, OOOD played to a packed and enthusiastic crowd on the main-stage at sunset on the last day of Universo Paralello 10 in Brazil, as well as a live set in the chillout on New Years Eve, for which they were joined on stage by Bill Halsey (aka Cosmosis). A tour of Japan is being finalised for this year, and the band will be performing twice at Boom Festival 2010, including a unique synchronised performance of a specially-commissioned film soundtrack. OOOD are also this year's headline international booking for Gemini Festival in California, one of the USA's longest-running and best-loved psytrance events, and will be playing a variety of live and DJ sets across the festival. In the UK, Sunrise, Nozstock and Waveform festivals are amongst those who have invited OOOD to perform this year, with more to be confirmed - watch this space! ABOUT OOOD: OOOD - How deep can you bleep? OOOD will be a familiar name to both those with long memories, and to relative newcomers to trance. Formed in the UK in 1994 and with 4 members since 2001 (Colin, Steve, Rama, Ryokan), they've been around for as long as there's been psytrance and have worked with many of the names and labels from the scene's long history, as well as producing some of Goa Trance's classic tracks on labels like Flying Rhino, Phantasm and Matsuri. A few quiet years in the early 2000s saw them retreat to the Stooodio after their first two albums were caught up in the bankruptcy of two different distributors but they never gave up, and their eclectic third album 'Free Range' (Organic, 2006) was regarded by many reviewers as one of the very best psytrance releases that year. Two years later they released 'Fourthought' (Phar Psyde, 2008), an 80-minute psychedelic journey through downtempo, breaks, electro, blues and a varied selection of psytrance; again the album attracted '11/10 A+' reviews and saw them consolidate their place as one of the few acts from the birth of the scene who are still actively contributing. As well as the originality, sense of fun and excellent production they bring to their releases, OOOD have been praised for their live sets since their London debut in 1995. Now, with four people in the band they are unique for the way they use live instruments (guitar, drums, keyboards, percussion) as an integral part of their live set, and have gained a reputation for both the power and quality of their live sound, and the vibrancy of their performances. Events such as Boom (Portugal), Universo Paralello (Brazil), Gemini (USA), Fusion (Germany), Glade (UK) and Vortex (South Africa), and many others in Japan, Russia and across Europe and elsewhere are seeing how OOOD and their side-projects create a unique energy and connection with the audience. OOOD live is different every time but these guys know what they're doing and they put on a hell of a show. OOOD have been surfing the wave of their creativity for over 15 years now and have been described as having "matured and improved with time, in the manner of a fine wine" (Axis Mundi). Their mission has always been to have a good time, spread a little joy and write the best tunes they can; if you've heard them or seen them recently you'll know just how well they have succeeded. 12. 2010 - a chance to return items stollen from Colin.. OOOD are coming to play at Boom. I'm sure they will be safe at Boom. The only reason Colin is coming back to Portugal is because Boom made OOOD a very special invitation to perform live with his 4 member band. And because his rage against the portuguese 'incident' has been calmed down with a very special friendship with some nice portuguese people.. After going around the world trance scenes, it's very sad to see that the vibe at parties here is mostly... SCARY (if it's not busted by the cops, btw) - there are some exceptions of good professional people working - I hope? Do not miss OOOD's performance at Boom... the person who did that will pay somehow sometime for its acts. One gets what he deserves, sooner or later.. bring on the good vibes for Boom dancefloor!!!
  13. Foi em 2009? No flyer diz 2000? Enfim... Voice of Cod é o projecto solo do Colin. (no bom sentido, claro!).

  17. Oportunidade terminada, line up fechado. Obrigada a todos!
E fazer as coisas andar. E o meu português é suficientemente bom para me fazer entender.
LOL
