AMD2400+, 1GB DDR, 2xHDD 80GB, Terratec Phase 26 USB, Monitors M-audio, Midi Controller - Evolution MK-449c 6 - Free text about your project? Anax aka Duca was born at the year 1980 in Belgrade, Serbia. He was always crazy about music. Before he started with music production he was visiting local clubs. Not much after that he bought his first vinyl’s and started with DJing, played acid and techno sound. After his first contact with trance music he felt enormous wish to make it by himself. It was at 1999. - 2000. He produces mostly the music for dancefloor. Beside project Anax where he is working alone, hi is also producing music with his younger brother known as Micro System (15 years old), and the name of that project is Dupe. 7 - Tell me about your favourite projects in trance scene at the moment? A lot of shity music has been released these days. I can say just 2 projects that I like very very much: Space Cat and Oforia. 8 - How you see the trance parties’ scene in Serbia and in the rest of the world? Serbia is small country but we have a lot of people in trance scene, a lot of quality artists and dj’s. Soon we will rock the dancefloor all over the world. The only thing I don't like is too much drug on parties. The same problem is in the rest of the world. 9 – What do you think about the mp3 trade by internet? I don't like mp3 traders, that are black market; it's killing us, artists and labels! 10 - Your sense of life? Just try to be positive and do positive things. 17. Utopia Records - Pure Imagination Vol.2 Track list 1. Freaked Frequency- 51 Times 145bpm 6:34 2. Sixsense- The Hive 147bpm 7:34 3. Ananda Shake- Intensity 146bpm 8:16 4. Vibe Tribe- Thriller 146bpm 7:15 5. Freaked Frequency- Panic 145bpm 7:31 6. Sixsense- Fight 148bpm 6:27 7. Aniki (Nissimyani) - Ayawaska Vamos 148bpm 8:25 8. Life Extension- Aaliyah 145bpm 8:06 9. Chemical Drive- Gshock 143bpm 7:35 Review I can’t post the promotional thread as usual because I don’t know what is going on with this compilation, I just see it for sale at Sound Shop from Brazil, the other web shops doesn’t have it yet and the web site from Utopia is a bit in the past. Track 1 by Freaked Frequency (51 Times) starts Pure Imagination with a power and energy bass line, morning melodies and some samples taken from the movie 51º State, in my opinion Benny Damski could choose a better one to start. Next one is Sixsense – The Hive, quieter than first, power kick, good construction, good progression of sounds, deep melodies, I think the only thing I have to say is listen it, it deserves Ananda Shake – Intensity brings a more intensity track Great morning and trippy melodies, nice bass line, totally Ananda Shake style…if you like Emotion in Motion you going to love it, if you doesn’t like it, it’s better not to listen because it’s very very similar. Next one is Vibe Tribe – Thriller; like almost Vibe Tribe tracks, it has a power kick bass line, beautiful melodies just like only they can do, ideal to finish a party Freaked Frequency – Panic is the second by this project, for me it’s better than the first but not really good, it has a guitar riff that goes all track long, the best part of the track for me is the percussion sounds at the breaks. Track 6 by Sixsense (Fight) is for me my favourite from Sixsense; it has a lot of energy and power, great progression, some nice guitar sounds, just the women samples is not perfect but in general the track is very good. Aniki (side project of Nissimyani) give us a track that can easy be confused with a Nissimyani track because of the drug samples and the psy melodies on it…apart from this, the track has a great groove and rhythm. Life Extension – Aaliyah takes us into a deep and mystic fly, full of suspense, great psy tunes, I just don’t like the constant changes on the bass line. Chemical Drive – Gshock is the last and my favourite here, it has good psy tunes, all well constructed, great melodies and has a kind of groove all track long that makes you think if you listen it at a party you can’t stop dance! Talking in general, Pure Imagination 1 in my opinion is a bit better, but Volume 2 is great too…I think that Benny Damski could choose more two projects instead of two tracks from the same project (Freaked Frequency and Sixsense); my favourites here are undoubtedly track 6 and 9 but I really like too 2 and 4, 8/10 Pedro Gaspar aka Juggler

  22. Ananda Shake - Emotion in Motion Utopia Records Promotional Thread The multi-talented duo, standing behind the Ananda Shake project are Osher Swissa and Lior Edri, both based in the southern parts of Israel. They initially started producing Old School Goa trance oriented music, and in time it has evolved into their killer full-on sound they are known for today. Ananda shake is another bright star shining under the Utopia Sky. Their debut album "Emotion in Motion" which will be released early 2005, proceeds Ananda Shakes previously released tracks on labels such as Shiva Space Technology , Utopia Records compilations, Fungi Records, Crystal Matrix, Psytropic Records and Mahogany Records to name a few. This highly anticipated album has been comprehensively tested on dance floors all over the world... Tracklist 1. Old School 2. Wrong Answer 3. Let the Music 4. Wonderland (Album Version) 5. Caution 6. Banana Banji 7. Break Dance 8. Make Me Shake 9. Total Madness 10. Emotion in Motion Review Ananda Shake – Emotion in Motion was full of great expectations when it’s not released, in my opinion there is nothing killer killer on the album, let’s listen track by track… Track 1 (Old School) starts the album with a nice bpm range -142 – in this track we can listen the usual full on bass / kick mixed with some melody that can take you into the Goa trance atmosphere…quiet and nice opening… Wrong Answer is a very happy track; like the first one, it express some good emotions, have killer melodies, all well constructed, good to finish a morning set! Track 3 again brings us a lot of good melodies, mixed with a groovy bass, amazing tunes on it…at this moment we start to see that all the album as the same style, you just have to love it or hate it. Wonderland is my favourite here…it’s like it has a story in it and it has some power melodies that can make you cry…great full on vibe here Caution is another melodic morning psy masterpiece…another one that brings you very great emotions…it has a power bassline / melody mixed with some Spanish guitar sounds that it’s going to be killer at the dancefloors… Track 6 (Banana Banji) is another morning full on track that has some melodies that can be used too in a goa trance track…nothing new around here… Track 7 present us with another happy and light moment…the uplifting melodies are in, the groovy bass are in, the quiet guitar riffs are in, the morning sensation are in, I just don’t like some women’s voice in the middle of the track… Make Me Shake is a very shakeable track I just don’t like the vocals in it, however it has a powerful kick / bass, good breakings, morning melodies… Track 9 (Total Madness) is a totally guitar track, it has quiet and happy riffs from the beginning to the end…great melodies, great production… The last track, Emotion in Motion, ends the album again like it start, with 142 bpm…this track has a progressive feeling, it starts very quiet but from 2m50s it wins a power bass that mixed with a power melody does more one killer track! Like I was saying at the beginning, I think that Emotion in Motion is a good album but has nothing killer here…the tracks are too similar, you just have to listen one and you know how the others are…however, it has some tracks not to be missed in dancefloors… 5/10 Pedro Gaspar aka Juggler
