Artist Profile: Tajmahal aka Stephane Gallay, Tajmahal began his music career in 1992 at the Factory club, Lyon, and as co-manager of the Kobdo, one of the first techno clubs in Lyon. In 1995, he became a label DJ with the legendary TRANSPACT label and as co-writer with trance act, ASIA 2001. This collaboration produced 4 albums, of which Tajmahal co-wrote and produced 3 or 4 tracks on each. Stand out tracks include PROCESSOR 5, PLANETARIUM & RA. After leaving ASIA 2001 in 1997, he started his own career, organizing Trance parties for 6 years at the legendary "Le Monde a l'Envers" in Lyon. Taj has become renowned for his long ambient DJ sets. He produces Ambient Downtempo and Progressive music in collaboration with Aes Dana on tracks “Pink” and “Syssex & Sun”. He has collaborated on Master Margherita’s album “Mastura” with a track ”The Analog Point” and also produced psytrance music with Chromatone for example "Batmosphere" on Mechanik Castle compilation 2005. This association with Lawrence aka Chromatone of Vaporvent Records led on to Taj now representing Vaporvent as a full on DJ in 2006. Since Boom Festival 2006 Taj has been working with Chilled C’ Quence from Portugal. Between them they have created 5 new killer tracks in the end of 2006 of which 2 are released on this, his debut album, “Star Circus“!!! At Soulclipse in Turkey, he made his live debut as a downtempo live act. His first downtempo track release was "Butterfly Ritual" on “Cosmik Chill "Red" compilation released on the Electrik Dream label in March 2006. The 2nd release on Electrik Dream was the recently well received Master Margherita & friends album “Mastura”. 3rd release on Electrik Dream is Tajmahal "Star Circus" this will be followed with the 2nd label compilation, Cosmik Chill "Orange"!!! Taj continues to work closely with Ultimae & Vaporvent while still producing his own different projects for Electrik Dream, his own label based in Brighton which Taj manages from France.. Recomendo o Caldas Late Night a toda a gente, participei à uns 5 ou 6 anos e diverti-me bastante!
