  4. noticia da Psyrewies:

"Goodbye to Spun Records who are closing their doors.

A discussion of whether we liked their releases isn't as relevant as a discussion of why they decided to close.

Does it strike you as something of concern that one of the world's biggest labels, backed by heavyweights like GMS and Wrecked Machines, is packing up shop due -- undoubtedly -- to shitty market conditions?

It definitely appears that the scene, after enjoying something like (probably) seven straight years of growth, is now in some sort of recession. DJs are hanging up their headphones, labels are closing, artists aren't making money from the music...

Have you heard this before? Is that why you're yawning?

The industry is all too quick to point at the P2P boogeyman and blame that for falling sales. But a poll run on this site earlier this year suggests that while only 8% blame Mycel, a whopping 68% reckon the cause of the industry's illness is too much bad, indentikit music being thrown in our direction.

The scene hasn't been choked to death by Soulseek. It's drowned in its own shit.

That Spun are a casualty of this is unfortunate. There are dozens of other labels I'd rather see dead in the water, yet they (for some reason) seem to be going stronger than ever.

At times like this it becomes more and more important to seek out the good music and to support it with your hard-earned. Acts like Vishnudata are the future, and right now we really f*ing need a future to look forward to.

Anyone who doesn't understand that last statement might as well leave now."

:glare:

    Bom cd! :glare:

To celebrate its birth, Syncronize Records is proud to present its first release: Psychogenica

The delicious full-length debut psytrance album by Ajja.

In a world that is spiralling faster every day, 'Psychogenica' is a reassuring breath of 144bpm based psychedelic trance.

Fusing his experience as Peak Record's label manager with a dancefloor diploma from his Yab Yum project and his prog-trance pedigree as a founding member of The Peaking Goddess Collective, Ajja has a PhD in psychedelic trance that will gently remind any dancefloor of the most important lesson: we are here to groove!

'Psychogenica' is 11 funky tracks arranged in such a way as to encourage you to trance and dance, keeping you solidly grounded while you spiral to the sonic seat of the soul.

Ajja starts at 144 and keeps it steadily there for most of the album, dazzling and delighting you constantly with his grooves and keeping you interested without the need for speed. In the last quarter, the pace is upped to 146bpm for some more twisted tracks that are reminiscent of Yab Yum, before levelling off to 145bpm for the last track, a hypnotic piece that cleanses you with its hauntingly beautiful outro and leaves you refreshed, replenished and ready to hit repeat on your cd player!

Featuring mind-blowing art by Ajja's brother, Filip Leu, combined with resident Peak Record's visual artist Tanina Munchkina and Ajja's own visionary digital work, 'Psychogenica' is a feast for the eyes that will stand out in any cd collection.

'Psychogenica' will get you bopping instantly and fill your brain with searing flashes of sunshine. This is music that wants to play with your body, while your mind is distracted by a seamless sea of sequenced synchronicity.

Danger! May get stuck in your head and cd player!

The debut album Twin Headed Monster by the Psymmetrix boys features 10 monstrous tracks in all sorts of psychedelic flavours, except cheese! The product of 9 months of dancefloor testing and intense studio programming culminates in a thumper of an album, from start to finish your head won't stop spinning and your feet won't stop grinning! Finally our neighbours can rest, but yours won't be able to!

This DJ friendly disc is also designed to be listened to at home as a seamless acid-drenched journey, flowing through some of the most psychedelic music to be unleashed for the minds of tomorrow.
