Our first competition has ended and we have no less than 6(!) happy winners! Yes, we were supposed to draw 5 winners but eventually ended up making sure that there are six happy new owners of our latest release, Séance.

Question 2: Jigar 'Silent Horror' has released quite a few tracks on various compilations and made guest appearances on artist albums. How many, roughly speaking?

a ) About 20 tracks

Question 3: The track Drums In The Deep was originally not supposed to be featured on the album Masters of Outhouse. Nevertheless, it was featured on the final version of the album. Why?

a ) There was another track that was supposed to be the first one on the album, but there was a glitch in the recording that could not be fixed. Thus, Drums In The Deep filled the slot.

b ) Lulle 'Ka-Sol' included Drums In The Deep by accident when he mastered the CD. Upon discovering the new track, Alex was adamant that they keep Drums In The Deep instead of the original first track, and David 'Buddha' and Lulle took his advice.

c ) This is a trick question. Drums In the Deep was thought to be a track that had a solid, given place on the CD already when the first discussions on the track list took place.

We at DVSM Records are excited to have a new Swedish DJ with us - Infra - who's been spinning records since 1993. Not only will he share his sets with us, but he'll also showcase his personal work on the new DVSM compilation which is scheduled to come out next year.

We're just waiting for one more track and then we're good to go. Celebrating its 7th anniversary, Devil’s Mind Records proudly presents what may well be the first psychedelic trance album ever written in symbiosis with the oceans of the world. A marine engineer by profession, Jigar Shah wrote and arranged his new album at sea. From the shores of Australia to the gulfs of India, passing through European bays and above deep-water sea caves in the Atlantic Ocean, the music reflects a months-long journey brought forth by waves and weather, in a milieu seemingly endless from the horizon of a ship, limitless to the observer.

Having been an integral part of mythological attempts to place humans in a context ever since the age of the hunters, the spiritual voyage of the séance links us to our ancestors and helps people make sense of the world. Séance explores this ritual and links it with the nocturnal spectrum of hypnotic rhythms. Through immeasurable expanses of dark blue, the séance navigates, as it were, moving between the finite and the insubstantial, putting everything into perspective, the voyage of the soul at sea, to find oneself in a timeless fabric.

Transmitting from the northern hemisphere, Devils Mind Records proudly presents Kiriyama's debut album 'Reach Escape Velocity', a blend of trance styles infused with the twilight sound of Scandinavia and mysticism of Goa.

Permeated with the surrounding atmosphere of Oerebro, the journey draws on inspiration from various sources that together form a platform from which these aural transmissions are spread about. Departing in the small hours, the style thematically progresses throughout the album, layer by layer, slowly fading through the abstract night and opening up to the melodic twilight zone. It is subtly mixed to make it as suitable for home listening as it is for dancefloor experiences, though it was primarily contrived to be surfed through in one go.

This 79-minute journey is graphically enriched with enchanted scenes from the Swedish High Coast Trail, which is listed on UNESCO's list of natural world heritages as there is no other place on earth where the land has risen as much as there since the freezing days of the last ice age.

A mere 15% of the world is within the boreal temperature zone - that is, parts of northern Europe, Canada, Alaska and Russia - and naturally this yields to peculiarities found nowhere else but here. Ready to travel north?
