'O festival Tribal Gathering, no Panamá, anunciado como um “paraíso na terra”, terminou no passado dia 15 de março, mas quase um mês e meio depois ainda existem dezenas de festivaleiros que ficaram retidos no recinto. O Panamá instaurou medidas de combate à Covid-19, nomeadamente impedindo a circulação de pessoas e apelando ao seu isolamento. Na altura, alguns festivaleiros e funcionários conseguiram apanhar voos e sair do país, mas ainda existem dezenas que permanecem no local. O festival foi projetado para ser um paraíso temporário, onde as pessoas poderiam aprender com as comunidades indígenas sobre como reequilibrar a sociedade e viver em simbiose com a terra. No entanto, qualquer senso de unidade comunitária parece ter evaporado quando os participantes começaram a discutir por comida e espaço. Inicialmente as condições eram boas, mas mais tarde choveu durante dias e os esgotos entupiram.
